Members 'Take Over' TAI/Travel America Parks

Members are struggling to 'take over' several of the former TAI parks that have either been abandoned by TAI or repossessed by their former owners/creditors.

River Bend (OH) Member owned..

Brekenridge (TN) "Sold" to a company owned by Ken Vopnford (RMI) for $40,000.. The deal appears to have been orchestrated by Mr. John, O'Hanlon, former attorney for Thousand Adventures, Inc. Mr. O'Honlon has since been disbarred for reasons that are not clear at this time.

Lake Village (OH) Member owned.

Leisure Lake (OH) Member owned.

The Lakes (TN) Local members are involved in a disagreement with the owners, McDill-Columbus, over use and subdivision of the park. More details will be provided as they develop. Status Unconfirmed.

Alabama Queen (AL) Members have established an 'Owners Association' that plans to purchase the park with the cooperation of the owners. The effort is just getting established. Details will be published as the situation evolves.

Thorenhaven (NE) Closed. The mortgage holder is taking posession and intends to sell it.
